Terms of Service for Parent Form Filler
Welcome to Parent Form Filler. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Parent Form Filler browser extension and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. The Service
Parent Form Filler is a browser extension (and future tools and applciaitons) that helps you automatically fill out online web forms and PDF documents with information you have stored locally on your device. The Service is designed to save you time and reduce the tedium of repeatedly entering the same information.
2. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of all information you store in your Parent Form Filler profiles. You must review all autofilled information before submitting a form to ensure it is correct. You are also responsible for maintaining the security of your master password, if you choose to create one.
3. Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Parent Form Filler collects, uses, and protects your information.
- Information We Collect: We do not collect or store any of your parent family information on our servers. All of your data, including names, addresses, medical information, and other details you enter, is stored locally on your computer.
- How We Use Your Information: Your information is used exclusively on your device to autofill forms as you direct. We do not use your information for any other purpose, such as advertising or marketing. Information is always populated locally and never sent to our servers or 3rd party services.
- Data Security: Your locally stored data is encrypted using industry-standard security measures. You can choose to add an extra layer of protection with a master password, which encrypts your family’s information.
- Data Synchronization (Optional): If you choose to use our optional cross-device synchronization feature, your data will be end-to-end encrypted, using your own Master password. This means the data is encrypted on your device and can only be decrypted on your other devices using a password that you manage. We do not have access to this password and cannot decrypt your data. The encrypted data is temporarily stored on our servers for less than 60 minutes to facilitate the sync and is not accessible to us.
4. Data Policy
This Data Policy outlines our practices regarding data that is not parent information but is essential for improving our Service.
- Form Fingerprinting: To improve our form-filling accuracy and fix bugs, we may collect and store a “fingerprint” of a form, as well as the empty fields requested in online and PDF forms. This fingerprint is a technical analysis of the form’s structure and the labels of its fields (e.g., “First Name,” “Date of Birth”). We will never collect or store the actual content e.g. your parent data, that the Service populates into these fields. This data is used to allow us to use AI to populate forms when forms are complicated or poorly constructed.
- No Sale of Data: We will never sell, rent, or share any of your data, including parent information or anonymized form data, with third parties for marketing or any other purpose outside of providing the core Service.
5. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is,” without any warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We make no guarantees that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or completely secure.
We are not responsible for any issues arising from incorrect information being filled into a form. If you forget your master password, your encrypted data cannot be recovered, and we are not liable for any data loss that occurs as a result.
While we use industry best practices, due care, and reasonable measures to protect your information, we do not accept any liability for any loss, damage, or unauthorized access to your data that may occur during the brief data synchronization process, due to a compromised browser extension, compromised code, or other security vulnerabilities beyond our reasonable control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
6. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any significant changes, but your continued use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
