- Make it long: Aim for at least 10–16 characters. Longer is stronger.
- Mix it up: Use upper- and lower-case letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Keep it unique: Never reuse passwords across different accounts.
- Avoid personal details: Skip birthdays, names, or info someone could guess.
- Consider a passphrase: A string of unrelated words (think "correct-horse-battery-staple") is easy to remember and tough to crack.
